UFC 286 descends into chaos as the lights go out at the O2 Arena on Leon Edwards’ undercard against Kamaru Usman

UFC 286 fell into chaos for a moment as the lights went out at the O2 Arena.
Flyweight Muhammad Mokaev was about to face Jafel Filho when the arena suffered a power outage.

The crowd cheered as if they were watching a hometown hero pull off a stunning knockout – even though the lights went out for the wrong reason.
But after a brief wait, the arena filled with lights again, prompting a cheering chorus from the rowdy crowd.
The O2 is expected to fill up with fans all waiting to see if Leon Edwards can defend his welterweight title in an immediate rematch with Kamaru Usman.
Edwards, who lost the first fight in 2015, retaliated with a stunning head kick KO last August.
And pending further technical glitches, heavyweight Tom Aspinall urged him to enjoy the atmosphere.
Aspinall said: “I would just tell him to take it [all] in and enjoy. You don’t get many of these opportunities.
“It’s a big deal for the main event in your home country, it’s huge.
“And to have your home fans on your side, you might [only] you get two, three or four chances to do this in your entire career.

“So go out there and enjoy it, just like any fight. It is no different from your other fights.
“Take it for what it is, it’s just a fight. Everyone is there who you love, so try and enjoy this time.
“Don’t put yourself under too much pressure and enjoy it.”
