After that, Doan jumped to his death.
Doan was a former student at UC Irvine and had last attended the school in 2019, police said.
“IPD has contacted Doan on multiple occasions in the past,” police said in a statement Wednesday.
“The last call for services related to mental health issues was in 2019.”

UCI Chancellor Howard Gillman released a statement following the tragic discovery.
“We are still collecting information about who the victims are and what exactly happened, but law enforcement has informed us that there is no ongoing danger to our community,” he said.
