The pair have already made fortunes with long and successful boxing careers on the biggest stages.

Despite much speculation, Fury and Joshua have so far avoided each other, with Fury being drawn into an epic trilogy that saw Deontay Wilder and Joshua twice face off against Andy Ruiz and Oleksandr Usyk.

But now that the two are heading towards one of the biggest heavyweight fights in history, it’s a good time to compare how Fury and Joshua are performing outside the ring.

Tyson Fury has never been shy about his upbringing.

Growing up as a traveler in a caravan, the 34-year-old comes from a very modest background.

But now The Gypsy King has a large portfolio of properties worth at least £8.2million.

He and wife Paris Fury moved into a new £1.7million seafront villa last year, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The couple also own a glamorous £6million mansion in Marbella and huge mansions in Vegas.

Anthony Joshua has his own scintillating qualities too, but the star is also known for prioritizing those around him over himself.

Only a limited amount is known about how many homes he owns, but it’s worth at least £7.5million.

The Mirror reported last year that AJ has spent that amount in one year alone investing in homes, some of which are likely to be sold.

Fury loves his cars and collects some of the most impressive models out there.

His Instagram gives fans a glimpse of his delicious collection, including his two new Rolls Royce Phantom Series II engines, each costing £394,000.

He has also shown off a Ferrari GTCLusso worth around £250,000 in the past.

It’s hard to estimate how much all these cars bring together, but it’s at least £1.2million and it’s likely to go higher.

Much like his boxing counterpart, Joshua is a petrolhead.

He is reported to own a garage with cars valued at around £1million in total.

The 32-year-old is also a fan of the Rolls Royce Phantom and was also reportedly photographed with a Mercedes v8 BiTurbo while on holiday.

fight income

Both fighters have seen their reputations explode over the past decade as the heavyweight division lined up to test their skills against two of their best boxers.

Fury has taken at least £101.25million from his fights but the figures are likely higher as not all finances are public.

It’s been quite a journey for the man from Morecambe. He earned over £10m from his rematch against Dereck Chisora in 2014 before earning well over £23m from his third fight against Deontay Wilder.

Coupled with the American’s first two fights and his epic fight against Dillian Whyte earlier this year, Fury continues to rake in numbers as fans queue to see his bouts.

Joshua is reported to be even more lucrative from his in-ring bouts.

The two fights with Usyk are said to have been worth £14million and £65.7million respectively to the British boxer.

Some of his previous high-profile clashes – such as his career-defining clash with Wladimir Klitschko in 2017 – have also helped him net an estimated £200million in his career.

Both fighters will earn even more sums if their fight takes place in the Battle of Britain.

Sponsorship Offers

Both boxers have made decent money through sponsorships throughout their careers.

In Fury’s case, the figure is estimated to be around £100million.

This is partly due to its main sponsor WOW Hydrate, a sports drink brand, and the huge deal with ESPN, Top Rank’s network.

He also has his own range of clothing that he sells on his website.

Meanwhile, Forbes describes AJ as a “marketing juggernaut” and estimates his sponsorship deals will net him around the £10m mark.

They refer to his dealings with the likes of Beats and Hugo Boss.

net worth

Sources vary for both athletes when it comes to total net worth, with numbers subject to change and some financial information not released.

Tyson Fury’s net worth is believed to be huge thanks to his high profile trilogy fight.

The net worth was reportedly £130million that year.

As of 2020, Forbes had Joshua’s net worth at around £41million, while 2022 sources put it at around £80million.

Their incredible careers mean they are both among the highest paid athletes in the world.
