Earlier today, a man appeared in court accused of murdering Fury’s cousin in the fatal attack.

Speaking to talkSport, the heavyweight boxing champ urged the government to take tougher action on the knife crime pandemic before slamming the “cowardly” acts.

He said: “I murdered a cousin last week who was murdered with a knife crime. The most cowardly thing you can do to someone.

“The Government, Britain, we are meant to be one of the safest countries in the world.

“We can’t walk down the street with a watch or something or we’ll get stabbed.”

The Gypsy King suggested that the government “needs to make it tougher on these cowards who carry knives and guns”.

Fury then claimed that anyone caught with a knife for stabbing someone “must be castrated”.

And the star boxer also asked for “5-7 years” in prison for even carrying a knife.

He added: “It’s costing the government too much money to put them in a prison.

“It costs them £60/70,000 a year to put these scumbags in jail. Castrate the little bastards.

“What little cowardly bastard needs to carry a knife around in our country?”

Ex-youth boxing star Rico had watched Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk fight with friends on Saturday before moving to another pub in leafy Altrincham.

Emergency crews were rushed to the Goose Green area in the early hours of Sunday morning after a fight allegedly broke out.

Rico was taken to the hospital but unfortunately could not be saved and was pronounced dead shortly after.

His death comes amid a spate of knife and gun violence across Britain, mostly concentrated in London.
