TYSON FURY will be lined up by WWE Bosses for a Royal Rumble appearance next year.
The heavyweight champion is still negotiating with Anthony Joshua for an all-British showdown by the end of 2022.
But he could start in the wrestling ring in 2023 as part of one of WWE’s biggest events.
Fury is being courted by show bosses to appear at the Royal Rumble at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas in January.
Insiders say the 6-foot-9-inch powerhouse “could even make an appearance in the Royal Rumble.”
Full-time CEO and Chair Stephanie McMahon and creative director – her husband Paul “Triple H” Levesque – are fans of Fury and the “entertainment and eyeballs he brings.”
The Royal Rumble could pave the way for Fury to attend Wrestlemania in Los Angeles in April.
Levesque has greenlit Fury to be a guest at WWE’s big Clash at the Castle show in Cardiff, Wales earlier this month.
A WWE insider told The US Sun: “Tyson is always on the minds of the bosses here and they are building the fighter numbers for the Royal Rumble.
“With the fight against Joshua now in doubt, he has time to prepare for a WWE return.
“Discussions with Tyson are ongoing. They’re interested in bringing him on for more matches and they’re looking at ways he could come into play for the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania and their big shows in Saudi Arabia.
“They want to continue working with Fury and the eyeballs he would lend to WWE, and they would also appreciate the entertainment he would bring.
“They are aware that he is a unique athlete whose entertainment value is greatly appreciated by fans.
“Tyson has had a match with WWE in the past, they loved how that went, so invite him back when all the schedules work out, the sheer entertainment it provides is what the WWE is all about.” WWE goes.
“WWE has always prided itself on having a finger on the pulse in so many areas that when they partner with celebrities or other sports stars to be involved with their product, they only strive for the best.
“They have a long history of bringing boxing greats into a WWE ring, from Muhammed Ali, Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
“So staying in business with Tyson was a no-brainer.”
Fury and Joshua apparently agreed to fight on December 3 of this year.
But then Fury said Joshua missed the deadline to sign a contract and appears to have moved on.
