TYSON FURY has announced he has retired from boxing, despite insisting just hours before he would return to the ring for the right price.
The WBC heavyweight champion, 33, ended his glittering career in April after defeating Dillian Whyte.
Recent reports suggested he could face the winner of Anthony Joshua’s rematch against Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed match.
But the undefeated Mancunian quickly put those rumors to rest as he denied he was in talks of a return to the ring.
However, he told Frank Warren’s Queensbury Promotions on Tuesday that he would return to the square circle “100 per cent”.
Less than 24 hours later, the Gypsy King reversed those comments after making a U-turn in his about-face.
discussion about his future Good morning BritainFury said: “As far as I’m concerned, I’m happy in retirement, happy and content with my career and what I’ve done.
“Never say never, but as far as I’m concerned, me and pro boxing are absolutely broke.
“Enough is enough, I’m happy to do the showbiz side of boxing.”
Then he explained that in the future he would only participate in exhibition fights.

Fury noted: “Nothing happened, I’m going to do some exhibition fights so no real fights. They are pure entertainment.
“This is not professional boxing, this is pure entertainment. Hollywood style entertainment. That’s all. No more and no less.”
He continued: “I’m looking at fighting Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Rang Bruno, whoever. The Rock – Dwayne Johnson, this is going to be fantastic.
“You know you never know who we might fight on one of these shows, but I hope so in the near future.”
Fans were confused by his comments, with one user tweeting, “Doesn’t retirement mean retirement in sport these days?”
Another wrote: “I love Tyson but what is he talking about? We know he’s 100% coming back for Usyk or Joshua.”
A third joked: “Would make a great Conservative leader who says one thing then does the other.”
That fan then said, “Clean up your belts and lineage status in the interest of humanity. Totally unfair to freeze the whole division.”
