Two more major grocery stores join Walmart and Costco in shutting down operations for the whole day

TWO major stores have announced a policy change that will see all their stores close for a day.
These chains have followed other stores like Costco and Walmart in planning to close their locations in just a few days.

Fresco y Más and Harveys Supermarket will both close on Thanksgiving.
That means customers need to plan their Thanksgiving meals in advance to avoid facing closed doors on Turkey Day.
Grocery stores in the South will reopen to customers on Black Friday.
Both chains took to their social media accounts to share the special reason why all of these stores are having the day off.

In related statements, the stores said, “As a thank you to our associates, we will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day so they can relax with their families and make memories at home around their own dining tables.”
“Please keep this in mind when shopping.”
A fan commented on Harveys Supermarket’s Facebook announcement sharing their agreement with this policy.
She said, “Thank you.
“Everyone should celebrate Thanksgiving with their loved ones.”
According to ScrapeHero, Fresco y Más has 28 locations throughout Florida and Harveys Supermarket has 25 locations throughout Florida and Georgia.
According to Forbes, Aldi announced an agreement to acquire Fresco y Más and Harveys Supermarket in August.
Aldi has become one of the fastest growing supermarket chains in the country.
More than 7,000 stores have announced they will close on Thanksgiving, The US Sun previously reported.
That includes Walmart, which will close all 4,616 locations so its employees can enjoy the holidays.
Costco will also close all of its 591 locations to celebrate Turkey Day.
