Two major talk shows are set to air again after a months-long break – but fans are furious over the “disgusting” decision

TWO major talk shows have decided to return for the fall season despite ongoing strikes.
But fans have angered the hosts over the “disgusting” decision.
The Jennifer Hudson Show and The Talk will return for new seasons.
Accordingly The Hollywood Reporterthe two talk shows and Sherri will begin production in the coming weeks.
All three shows will return without writers due to the ongoing strikes.
This decision came after Drew Barrymore announced that her talk show would be returning without writers.

The Talk season 14 premiere is scheduled for September 18, with all hosts returning.
The second season of Jennifer’s show will also air on the same day.
Since Sherri is not using WGA writers, season two will air as planned.
There is no information on when filming will begin for The Kelly Clarkson Show, which is set to move from Los Angeles to New York.

THR mentioned that the talk shows “would all comply with SAG-AFTRA rules regarding the hosting of their shows, which are governed by a separate contract – the so-called network code – from which the actors strike.”
Those talk shows were canceled in May when the strikes were announced.
DREW’S RETURN
Last Wednesday, Drew made the shocking decision to continue her talk show despite continuing to support the strike.
The 48-year-old published a statement on Instagram on Sunday explaining her decision.
“I decided to walk away from the MTV, Film and Television Awards because I was the presenter and there was a direct conflict with what the strike was about, namely studios, streamers, film and television,” she said wrote.
“It was also in the first week of the strike and so I did what I thought was appropriate at the time to show solidarity with the authors. And to be clear, our talk show actually ended on April 20th, so we never had this to end the show.
Drew continued, “However, I’m also making the decision to come back for the first time in this strike for our show, which may have my name on it, but this is bigger than just me.”
“This decision is mine. We are committed to not discussing or promoting films and television shows that are affected in any way.”
She ended by saying, “I want to be there to convey what writers do so well. This is a way to bring us together or help us understand the human experience. I hope that a solution will be found for everyone as quickly as possible. We’ve found our way.” It’s been difficult times since we first went on air. And so I take a step forward to begin season four again with a wise humility.”
Since the decision was announced, the WGA has demonstrated outside its studio.
In May, the actress left hosting the MTV Movie & TV Awards to support the writers.
‘SO DISAPPOINTED’
After the talk shows decision was made, fans flocked to Reddit to give their opinion on the shows’ return.
“I’m disappointed but not shocked that some would cave to the pressure,” one fan wrote.
“This looks terrible for them,” said another.
A third added: “I hope no actor or writer ever agrees to work on their shows again.”
“I don’t understand why these hosts agree to restart their unnecessary talk shows. They are not necessary. And these people shouldn’t need the money,” one Reddit user wrote.

“The actual union members are on strike, so it’s not about the workers.”
“That is disgusting. I feel so sorry for the writers,” said one final fan.
