They appeared in 17 episodes of “The Professionals” and were driven in fast-paced scenes by crime-fighting duo William Bodie and Ray Doyle.

Both are in excellent condition and fully operational and have been described as “Coveted Entertainment Trophies” by Iconic Auctioneers.

The “Solar Gold” model was slightly restored in 2021 and is said to have only driven 43,222 miles.

The TV rides were sold by a private collector at auction in Ashorne, Warwickshire for a total of £186,750.

That equates to a whopping £93,375 each, beating the previous record for the model which was £68,625.

Iconic’s Arwel Richards said: “Ford Capris are some of the hottest modern classic cars for collectors right now and when you add to that the fact that both of these Capris were featured on the popular cult TV show we knew we were on the winning side were.” them.”

The two Capris were sold alongside a 1998 Subaru Impreza previously driven by Scottish World Rally Champion Colin McRae.

The racing legend, who died in a helicopter crash in 2007, used the car in 1997/98 after winning the world championship two years earlier.

Although it didn’t fetch as much as the Fords, it still won the £480,000 bid.

This comes after a Land Rover previously used by the late Queen and Prince Philip during a Commonwealth tour in 1954 went up for sale.

Meanwhile, in modern day, a Tesla driver revealed why he hates his electric vehicle and how dangerous it could be.
