Then, around 10:30 p.m., officers received reports of another victim being shot in the downtown Market East District.

About half an hour later, police responded to another shooting on the north side of town involving two men, one of whom was fatal.

One victim was taken to hospital in critical condition, while the second was pronounced dead at the scene.

The reign of terror continued when, around 12 noon, one person was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound.

IMP officials have not released any information about this shooting or the victim’s condition.

At around 1:45 a.m., police discovered another person with a gunshot wound to the leg on the north side of town.

Police did not reveal where the shooting took place but said the victim was “awake and breathing.”

At 3 a.m., a police cruiser patrolling near North Post Road on the northeast side of town heard nearby gunfire.

Intervening officers searched the area and found a man who was shot dead in a nearby parking lot.

The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

During their investigation, officers discovered a second man, identified as 21-year-old Robert McCullum, in the parking lot, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

“It is unfortunate that we are talking about another murder here. It is unfortunate that we are talking about another family – two families – affected by gun violence in this city. Things have to change,” said IMPD Officer Samone Burris.
