Two Cold Fronts in Four Days Bring the Cold to South Florida – CBS Miami

Miami (CBSMiami) – A dry cold front is preparing to move into South Florida for the long weekend.
Two cold spells will sweep through the state starting Friday and lasting through the long weekend. Between the two, there can be a short warm-up period and a few storms.

Friday morning temperatures were in the 50s with a northwesterly breeze. The wind will blow cold at times making you feel colder, but it will be calm on Saturday night. Dry, clear skies and light winds will lead to cooler Friday night and Saturday mornings. Saturday’s forecast is for pleasant afternoon sunshine as the next front approaches the area.

A warm breeze will return on Sunday as showers and storms break out over Mexico’s Northern Gulf and begin to move south. Temperatures are likely to hit 80 degrees ahead, which is forecast to move through Sunday night. As with the front, a cold breeze developed overnight and continued into Monday morning.

Tuesday will be the coldest day of the period with lows for under 50s, possibly over 40s inland. By Tuesday afternoon it was all over. Low humidity and light winds lead to a pleasant afternoon and later, slightly warmer highs and lows are in the forecast.
