A CHILD has died and another is fighting for his life after being stabbed and then thrown from a window in Sweden, it has been reported.

Police in Stockholm say a murder and attempted murder investigation has begun and two people have been arrested after children were thrown from an apartment complex.

One of the children has died and another is fighting for his life in hospital after falling from about 50ft Aftonbladet reported.

Police spokeswoman Helena Boström Thomas said two adults – a man and a woman – were romantically involved with the two children.

Police were called at 9:45 a.m. local time after being alerted by members of the public in the Hässelby area of ​​the Swedish capital.

Two children under the age of ten were found lying on the ground outside the property.

One passerby described the “terrible sight” where the children were found, according to Expressen.

Both were taken to hospital by helicopter but the youngest of the two died overnight.

The newspaper said the child’s father, in his 40s, is believed to have stabbed them and then killed himself.
