Two Brits arrested and a terrifying arsenal of SEVENTY guns seized as Austrian cops rush into ‘conspiracy cell’

At least 70 weapons, along with ammunition and possibly explosives, were discovered in a raid, leading to the arrest of two Britons in Austria.

During the operation in the village of Kleindiex in the municipality of Ruden, two British “conspiracy theorists” were arrested together with an Austrian citizen.

The two Brits were reportedly aged 67 and 69, while the Austrian is 29.

In addition to up to 70 firearms, police officers found tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition and possibly explosives in the small village in southern Austria near the Slovenian border.

Chemical and explosives experts were also sent to the house, just over 60 kilometers southwest of Austria’s second largest city, Graz.

Austrian media reports that the three “conspiracy theorists” are hoarding weapons and explosives in the dilapidated house.

Among the weapons found were automatic rifles, hunting rifles and pistols, and possibly TNT explosives.

Paramedics were called to the home over the weekend for an unrelated medical emergency when they discovered a large number of guns in the home and called police.

Several hundred police officers searched the house on Wednesday and arrested all three suspected “extremists”.

An elderly neighbor said the arrested residents had “lived a very secluded life there for the past ten years,” but added that they had never caused any problems.

Reports in Slovenia claim the 29-year-old has posted conspiratorial or doomsday prepper material on social media.

Police spokesman Rainer Dionisio told reporters: “The operation is very delicate. The investigations are progressing very quickly and the suspects are still being questioned.”

He doesn’t believe there is any danger to the general public at this time, he added.

Dionisio also denied rumors that the trio were planning an attack and said police successfully secured the property.
