TV ratings for Sunday, February 27: ‘American Idol’ season 20

In the latest TV show chart, American Idol began its 20th (and fifth) overall cycle on ABC with a total of 6 million viewers and a 0.9 rating, on par with Last season’s Sunday’s average and easily led the night in the demo; read summary.
Bookending Idol, AFV (4.9 million / 0.6) and Rookies (3.5 million / 0.4) both increased.
On CBS, 60 minutes (8.1 million / 0.6) brought in the largest audience on Sunday. Equalizer (7 million / 0.5, read summary) was down from the latest episode (and boosted by the NFL), while NCIS: LA (5.4 million / 0.5) and SWAT (3.6 million / 0.4) returned to stable.
Rescheduled from Monday night, The CW’s steps are (157K/0.0) hit a low of the season.
On Fox, The Simpsons (1.4 million / 0.4) hit the lowest level of the season, while Dai Bac (940 thousand / 0.3), Bob’s Burgers (1.2 million / 0.4) and Family boy (1.2 million / 0.4) all decreased.
