The connection came to light after adult Turpin family members, Jordan, 21, and Jennifer, 33, open up about the abuse they experienced at the hands of their parents over the years in a 20/20 ABC interview earlier this month.

The Turpin family made headlines in 2018 after it was revealed that there was a severe case of abuse against their 13 children in the family.

David and Louise Turpin were later sentenced to 25 years in prison for life after they committed the crime of imprisoning and torturing their children.

Now, three members of another Perris family, who are believed to have adopted Turpin’s five children, are also facing abuse allegations.

In an affidavit, an investigator said that both minors and dependent adults raised in the home were sexually abused, locked in rooms and yelled at.

Three family members, Marcelino Olguin, 62, Lennys Olguin, 36, and Rose Olguin, 57, are all facing abuse charges in the case.

Marcelino is facing charges of lewd conduct with a minor 14 or 15 years old, lewd conduct with a minor under the age of 14, false imprisonment and willful cruelty to a child.

Lennys is facing charges of false imprisonment, willful cruelty to children and disobeying witnesses.

Rose is facing charges of wrongful imprisonment, willful cruelty to children and disobedience of witnesses. According to Press-Enterprise.

Three family members were charged on November 3 and are expected to be arranged on December 16 after applying for bail, the newspaper reported.

WHEN TO START Investigating?

The morning before the television interview with Jordan and Jennifer Turpin aired, county officials announced that they were reviewing some of Turpin’s childcare services.

The sisters revealed in the interview that some of their adult siblings are lacking food and shelter, despite a trust being set up for the family with about $600,000 in private donations.

Mike Hestrin, Riverside County district attorney, said the children “have fallen victim to the system again.”

“They’re living in crime-ridden neighborhoods. There’s money for their education – they’re inaccessible,” he said. According to The Independent.

Riverside County is reportedly looking into allegations that the Turpins were unable to access their money, as well as allegations that five of the children being held in foster homes were abusive.

WHAT HAPPENS TO TURPINS?

Jordan Turpin was able to flee her family home and call 911 for her parents in 2018.

Before her release, the siblings said that their parents would often chain up they come to the filthy beds and forced them to live in captivity for many years.

They did mercilessly fed only once a day, was only allowed to shower once a year, and was deprived of toys and games.

While parents eat well, they torture their starving children By leaving apple pie and pumpkin pie on the counter, but keeping them away, Hestrin County District Attorney said.

“There are a lot of people starving,” Jordan told ABC News. “I will have to find a way to eat. I’ll eat ketchup or mustard or ice. “

When they were eventually rescued, the children were so malnourished that they were believed to be under 18, even though seven were adults.

Investigators said an 11-year-old was so malnourished that his arm circumference was comparable to that of a four-and-a-half-month-old child.
