Martial supports Utd squad

Anthony Martial is confident the current Manchester United squad can take them to the Champions League.

Despite ties to Cody Gakpo and Joao Felix, Martial has featured regularly under boss Erik ten Hag this season.

And although Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure has increased speculation that more firepower will be deployed next month, the fit Frenchman has been supportive of himself and his team-mates.

United continue their Premier League season at home against the Nottingham Foreat tomorrow night.

And Martial, 27, said: “We’ve done a lot of good work and it’s been a bit of a pre-season for us.

“We’ve been working on fitness training and getting into top physical shape and I’ve personally benefited a lot from that.”

“We have a very good team of players with great momentum, many wins already under our belt, we just have to keep this winning streak now.

“There’s a lot of games coming up now, but apart from those who went to the World Cup there was time for some rest and they’ll have had a few days off now too, so let’s hope we’ll all come back in good form from the upcoming challenges.”
