Man City are reportedly set to sign Cardiff City star Lewys Benjamin.
Benjamin, 17, will undergo a medical before making papers with City, where he will play as the academy goalkeeper.
The Wales Under-17 international has been targeted by a host of Premier League clubs, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
But Cardiff’s teenage sensation ultimately chose the Man City Project.
Romano tweeted: “Cardiff City talent Lewys Benjamin who is undergoing medical tests and will now sign with Manchester City as the new Academy goalkeeper.
“Wales Under-17 international Benjamin was on the list of many British clubs but he said yes to the Man City project.”
Jamie Carragher has suggested Erling Haaland may have signed for the WRONG club.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the ex-Liverpool defender said: “He may have actually picked the wrong club to get the best out of him.
“Manchester City have scored the same number of goals as a team.
“He’s scored 25 goals in the Premier League but Manchester City as a team have scored the same number of goals and they’ve conceded more goals and it’s a lot easier to counter them too.
“So they’re a different team and a smaller team with Erling Haaland on the team and it’s not his fault.
“Manchester City will not play end-to-end football as a team, that’s not Pep Guardiola’s way.
“Erling Haaland has still scored 25 goals but we don’t see the full package of what this player can do because of the team he went to.
“I’m not criticizing him and I think he’s so good that he still has 25 goals but we’ve probably only seen 60 or 70 percent of him.
“We don’t see that power and that blistering pace, but we have to come back to the fact that no matter how many goals he’s scored as a solo player, Manchester City have scored exactly the same number of goals.”
Antonio Conte has spoken directly to Harry Kane on the phone following his Tottenham star’s record-breaking match-winner against Manchester City.
The forward scored the only goal of the game as Spurs beat the Cityzens in north London.
That was his 267th goal for the club and put him ahead of Jimmy Greaves as the all-time top scorer.
And once in the dressing room, the absent Conte was straight on the fan to his superstar, although the conversation remained private despite Sky Sports’ cameras being there to capture the moment.
West Brom manager Carlos Corberan has reportedly emerged ‘as a potential candidate’ for Leeds United should they sack Jesse Marsch.
Elland Road’s miserable form continued today with a 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest.
That left them without a win in the Premier League since 5 November and only in the bottom three on goal difference.
Marsch has admitted he understands fans’ frustration as the pressure mounts ahead of a double-header with Manchester United this week.
Now the Daily Mail claims Leeds “owners Andrea Radrizzani and Paraag Marathe will be the men in charge of Marsch’s future in the coming days”.
They claim that Corberan, who previously coached Marcelo Bielsa at the club, was already “admired”.
