Boost for Liverpool Bellingham

Liverpool’s pursuit of Jude Bellingham has been stepped up after Jurgen Klopp revealed there would be new investments in the squad.

Ahead of Liverpool’s Boxing Day clash with Aston Villa, he said: “I don’t know how much money it would cost but I’m not against investing to be honest, that’s clear.

“We’ll see what the future brings, nobody knows at the moment, but I’m still convinced that the future is bright for us.

“But right now we have to sort the situation, nothing with investments or whatever, we have to sort the present and that’s what we’re working on.

“January is a window in our situation where we always say we’re always prepared, that’s how it is.”
