Show time have booked a spring to come for The Man Who Fell to EarthIts series was inspired by both Walter Tevis’ 1963 novel and David Bowie’s iconic 1976 film.
Premiering on Sunday, April 24 at 10/9c (with the first two episodes airing consecutively), The Man Who Fell to Earth are the stars nominated for the Academy Awards, respectively Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 years of slavery) and Naomie Harris (Moonlight) as a legitimate alien, named Faraday, and Justin Falls, a brilliant scientist and engineer.
As suggested by the first trailer above, Faraday arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future; Justin, the man he seeks, must in turn conquer her own demons – in a race to save no one but… two world.
The cast also includes Clarke Peters (establish) and Annelle Olaleye as Justin’s scientist father and her daughter; Jimmy Simpson (Westworld) as a CIA agent, Kate Mulgrew (Orange is the new black) as a CIA agent/”secret collector”, and Joana Ribeiro (Prisioneira) as a signals specialist at the CIA; Rob Delaney (Disastrous) as the rich child of a famous tech family and Sonya Cassidy (Guest house 49) as a woman driving to the aforementioned family business; and Bill Nighy (Page Eight) as the brilliant Thomas Newton, the first alien to arrive on Earth more than 40 years ago – aka the role Bowie played in 1976.
