A YOUNG woman has died after falling ill at the Creamfields music festival.
Cheshire Police said emergency services rushed to the event at 10.15pm on Friday after reports the 25-year-old was not feeling well.
She was taken to Warrington Hospital but the medics were unable to save her and she died in the early hours of the morning.
An investigation has been launched. However, police say the death is not considered “suspicious”.
Superintendent Sarah Heath said: “The tragic death of a young woman is heartbreaking and our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time.
“An investigation into the cause of death is ongoing, but at this time there is no evidence of any suspicious circumstances.”
Creamfields North takes place at the Daresbury Estate, which lies just between Liverpool and Manchester in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.
