Traffic Disruption Public Safety Alert Ahead of President Joe Biden’s Visit This Week – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – President Joe Biden will visit the Pittsburgh area on Friday.

Mr. Biden will visit Mill 19’s research and development center in Hazelwood as part of a bipartisan infrastructure agreement that was approved in 2021.
Pittsburgh Police Chief Eric Holmes is responsible for providing dignitaries to national and international leaders when they arrive in the Pittsburgh area.

Holmes said residents and visitors should prepare for traffic disruptions as the president’s motorcade moves from Allegheny County Airport to Hazelwood.
Holmes said in a statement to KDKA: “Drivers should be prepared for traffic delays and detours, as well as limited parking along 2nd Avenue between Glenwood Bridge and Hazelwood Avenue for the event that has been scheduled. plan. “You should have a measure of patience and pre-planning with an alternative route to minimize travel obstacles.”

The city will post a no-parking sign 24 hours in advance of the visit, and those restrictions will be in place from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
