Mark Wright had a giant 12cm tumor removed from her armpit following a fear of cancer.
Former TOWIE star, 34 years old, has Instagram to share her story in the hope that speaking out can help save lives.

“Part of me wants to keep this kind of thing a secret and the other part is thinking, if I can help/potentially save one person, then…this is the right thing to do.
“So here it is. I’ve discovered a lump in my breast/armpit area. Not very big but enough to be cause for concern and cautious enough to get checked out.
“I saw a doctor referred to it as ‘a lump of fat that didn’t need any treatment’ so I dropped it.
“After a while, the tumor grew and started to bother me. I am someone for whom in life in general I leave no stone. When it comes to health, this idiom quadruples. .”
Mark, who underwent surgery today and also shared graphic images of the tumour, added: “I met with another specialist who happened to be a breast consultant to get an opinion. second. He was sure after seeing the ultrasound that it was LIPOMA (a BENIGN soft tissue tumor) however with it being quite large he was a little worried that it had/could turn into SARCOMA (a cancerous melanoma). I had an MRI.
“From the results of the MRI, this consultant still does not want to rule out the worst-case scenario due to the speed and size of the growth. At this stage, I turn to a SARCMA specialist.
“This pro looked at the scans about 10 days ago and today I was in the cinema with this little git.”
Mark, who is married to the actress Michelle Keegan.
“He also couldn’t confirm 100% with an MRI that it was definitely a benign tumor and not something more sinister.
“The tumor will be taken for further testing just to be 110% sure but this top doctor is sure with his incredible experience that we’ve done the job and there’s nothing guilty to worry about. So I’m fine.
“MORAL OF THE STORY: If you notice anything that doesn’t seem right or doesn’t feel right. Don’t throw it away.
“Nothing in life is more important than your health and well-being. Go see a doctor, get yourself checked, and make sure you’re taking good care of yourself.”
