The Italian has done well since arriving in November 2021, taking Spurs from eighth place to the Champions League in less than seven months.

He’s also battered a tough injury list to keep his side in the top four this season and also qualify for the European Elite Round of 16.

Conte hopes to continue the good work once the Prem resumes later this month with Brentford at Brentford on Boxing Day.

But before that, The Athletic claim the ex-Chelsea manager is open to talks over a new deal.

The report claims talks have started ahead of the World Cup and are expected to resume this week alongside Fabio Paratici.

Wages and contract length are said to be mentioned, but Conte also wants reassurances ahead of the January transfer window.

He wants Tottenham to support him in the market and match his winning ambitions.

So far in Conte’s tenure, Daniel Levy and company have done just that, with the 53-year-old bringing no fewer than NINE players into his two windows in charge.

Two of his biggest success stories are Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski, the latter being one of the club’s key performers this season.

But Tottenham need more reinforcements this winter, with a right-back occupying a prime position while Conte also need a creative midfielder.
