TOTTENHAM flop Steven Bergwijn scored a hat-trick at home in Ajax’s 6-1 win over Groningen.
The Dutch winger scored his total of four goals for Spurs last season in just two games for the Dutch champions.
Bergwijn spun to volley a brilliant opener in the fourth minute, then added a header and another clean finish before being substituted off in the 69th minute.
Fans on social media hailed Ajax’s attack as one of the best in Europe – especially as Manchester United’s target Antony scored a sensational solo goal.
Old Trafford manager Erik ten Hag is also a huge admirer of Bergwijn’s other strike partner, Brian Bobbey.
Cyril Ngonge scored the equalizer for Groningen but Antony’s sensational goal and Bergwijn’s second goal made it 3-1 at the break.

The ex-PSV hero completed his brilliant first-ever Eredivisie treble in the 57th minute.
Kenneth Taylor and Bergwijn’s substitute Steven Berguis then rounded off Ajax’s stunning triumph.
One supporter tweeted: “I think this is the best Ajax attack yet. For some of them it could have been more.”
Another claimed: “We now have one of the most exciting attacks in Europe.”

Some fans have already asked Bergwijn: “Come back to Tottenham.”
And some felt he was better suited to Dutch football than the more physical Premier League.
Bergwijn, 24, himself quickly tweeted a summary of his happy afternoon: “3 points, 3 goals.”
And so far his form and numbers justify a £26million transfer which he says has “shocked” him.
Stats specialist Squawka hailed his “perfect home debut” after all four of his attempts at goal came on target, including, of course, the three he netted.
And he had 52 touches – compared to the meager eight scored by Manchester City new signing Erling Haaland in the previous day’s 4-0 win over Bournemouth.
Former Ajax academy player Bergwijn said of his move last month: “I was a bit shocked. I didn’t see it coming.
“If you can come back to Ajax that’s quite tempting. They always do well in La Liga and the Champions League so that’s a step up for me.”
Bergwijn’s rousing performance alongside Antony could make it even more difficult for Ten Hag to land the latter.
Ajax are sticking to their £70m valuation for the Brazilian – £19m more than United reportedly offered.
