Arsenal lost 2-0 to Newcastle on Monday night, putting Tottenham firmly in the driver’s seat.

Spurs meet relegated Norwich on the final day of the season, while Arsenal meet relegation-threatened Everton.

Conte said after Tottenham’s win over Burnley he hoped it would put pressure on Arsenal – and it did.

He said: “I think we had to do our job first and win and take three points and put some pressure on Arsenal.

“We know very well that it’s not easy to play against Newcastle and especially when they arrive with the new manager and in a good streak and not an easy game, but it will be the same for us at Norwich [in the final game of the season]and the last game against Everton for Arsenal.

“For sure I will watch the game because I love football and I want to watch and also suffer.

“But I think it’s a great achievement for the last game, to have the opportunity to get into the Champions League because I haven’t forgotten our path since November and we’ll see what happens.

“I also think Arsenal have done a really good job this season because they haven’t played in Europe and now they have a chance to play in the Champions League.”

But with Champions League football, Tottenham could attract some top-flight talent to Tottenham Hotspur.

And if Spurs want to continue battling for the top four every season and keep Conte, they’ll have to be ready to splash the cash.

SunSport looks and some players who could join Spurs this summer with the lure of Champions League football.

Paulo Dybala

Paulo Dybala is set to be one of the hottest free agents in world football.

The Argentine is set to leave club Juventus for FREE and may finally sign for Tottenham, having previously attracted interest from the Premier League club.

Spurs have been keen on Dybala for a number of years and have made offers to sign him.

Dybala would demand a high wage.

Spurs could also face competition from a number of top clubs from across Europe.

Christian Ericsen

Former Tottenham man Christian Eriksen has made a remarkable recovery since collapsing at Euro 2020 while playing for Denmark.

He then left Inter Milan after having an ICD inserted.

Eriksen has found himself in the Prem at Brentford and has helped keep the bees posted the first time.

But the Danish playmaker still hopes to play Champions League football.

Speaking to Viaplay, he said: “I don’t think there are some footballers who can just choose between clubs because there are a lot of criteria that come into play.

“There are also a lot of clubs that need to see their way before that happens.

“I have various offers and options that we look at and then we make a decision.

“I’d love to play Champions League football again. I know how fun it is, but it’s not necessarily for me.”

Matheus Nunes

Matheus Nunes has impressed for Sporting Lisbon.

The Brazilian-born 23-year-old has been pursued by Tottenham, Manchester City and Newcastle.

He could cost around £34m, which isn’t particularly expensive in today’s market.

Champions League football and a slightly easier route to regular minutes could give Tottenham the edge over Newcastle and Man City.

Lautaro Martinez

Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham last summer but the move didn’t go through.

Tottenham could return for Martinez this summer to bolster Conte’s attacking options.

The Argentine would definitely cost more than £50m.

Martinez played under Conte in last year’s Serie A winning team.
