TOTTENHAM are reportedly close to making goalkeeper Fraser Forster their first summer signing.
Boss Antonio Conte has been linked with various jobs in recent months despite only joining the club in November.
Now, having guided them to Champions League qualification, he wants serious support in the transfer market.
And Tottenham boss Daniel Levy is willing to do just that to persuade him to stay.
Now north London are reportedly nearing their first conquest of the window, according to the Daily Mail.
England international Forster, 34, is out of contract at Southampton next month.
The former Celtic star has been in talks with a number of clubs about his next move.
However, Spurs appear to have won the race to sign him pending a medical.
They had previously been linked with international Three Lions stopper Sam Johnstone.
He’s also available for free with his deal at Championship club West Brom in June.

However, Spurs have reportedly “changed sights” and opted for Forster instead as they are “increasing the competition” for Hugo Lloris.
Forster started his career at Newcastle but despite some spells on loan elsewhere, he failed to make a first-team appearance.
After two stints at Celtic, he finally joined them permanently in 2012 and continued to enjoy great success at Parkhead before joining the Premier League with Southampton in 2014.
He returned to Parkhead on loan in the 2019-20 season but has reclaimed his first-team spot at Saints this season, playing 24 games and earning an England recall in March.
