Tottenham are looking to sack Antonio Conte THIS WEEK after he scathingly ranted a replacement is already on the cards

TOTTENHAM are reportedly set to sack Antonio Conte this week following his scathing tirade.

The Italy boss, 53, lashed out at the players and the club after Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Southampton.

SunSport have reported that several of the Spurs players want Conte sacked.

And The Telegraph is now reporting that chairman Daniel Levy is preparing to part ways with Conte.

It’s believed Ryan Mason could take over as caretaker by the end of the season.

Spurs’ first game after the international break will be at Everton on April 3.

And they will hope to maintain their fourth place in the Premier League.

Tottenham are two points ahead of fifth-placed Newcastle, who have two games in hand.

Liverpool are also still in contention, while Brighton are just seven points behind after playing three games fewer.

Conte’s angry tirade drew heavy criticism from Spurs supporters.

The Italian said: “I think it’s better to address the issue, we’re not a team.

“We are 11 players who go out on the pitch. I see selfish players, players who don’t want to help each other and don’t put their hearts into it [into it].

“This season compared to last, we’re worse now in that regard. If you’re not a team, you can’t improve.”

He then added: “You’re not playing for anything important, yeah. They don’t want to play under pressure, they don’t want to play under stress.

“It’s easy that way. Tottenham’s story is this, 20 years have the owner and they’ve never won anything but why? The fault lies only with the club or with any manager who stays here.

“I saw the managers that Tottenham had on the bench. They risk disrupting the manager’s figure and protecting the other situation at any moment.

“Until now I’m trying to hide the situation, but now, no, because I repeat, I don’t want to see what I saw today.

“Everyone has to take responsibility. Not just the club, the manager and the staff.

“The players have to be included in this situation because if Tottenham want to change, it is time to change this situation. They can change managers, many managers, but the situation cannot change. Believe me.”

SunSport have considered five potential permanent successors including Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel and Zinedine Zidane.
