TOTTENHAM are close to completing a loan deal for Clement Lenglet after reportedly agreeing personal terms with the defender.
Lenglet, 27, will join north London on a season-long loan deal.
Antonio Conte has been pushing to sign the Frenchman and Lenglet has now agreed to personal terms, reports Fabrizio Romano.
Spurs have been on the hunt for a new centre-back all summer after the rejection of Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar transfers.
Tottenham and Barcelona are still discussing the final details of the loan but the move is set to be announced soon.
Gerard Romero reports that Spurs will not pay his entire salary but will take around £115,000 of his £200,000-week wages.
And the move is welcomed by Lenglet after spending most of last season on Barca’s bench.
The former Sevilla defender started in just seven games in 2021-22 but is earmarked for a first-team role at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Lenglet is expected to join Eric Dier and Christian Romero in central defence.
But Spurs could look different as new signing Ivan Perisic could be joined by Djed Spence.
