On Wednesday’s Today Show, Carson hosted the show’s PopStart segment, which focuses on pop culture and entertainment.

During the segment, Carson discussed the 14 nominees for upcoming 2023 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Among the nominees were Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, Willie Nelson and Soundgarden.
Fans can vote for their favorite artists, who are then tallied to determine the top five artists.
After sharing that the final list of candidates would be released in May, Carson was ready to move on to the next topic.

But co-host Savannah Guthrie had more questions.
She asked, “How do you choose them?”
After clicking his tongue, Carson replied, “That’s a long answer.”
“Okay,” Savannah snapped. “Never mind, I’ll google it.”

“I don’t want to keep my other breaking news to myself,” Carson said, “but I’ll draw you a map.”
“Yeah, yeah, I’ll google it,” Savannah said before letting out a laugh at the tense moment.
After that, Carson quickly began covering the next pop culture news.
WARNING FROM SAV
Meanwhile, Savannah commented on the upcoming winter storm on the Friday episode of the Today Show over the weekend.
She said “it’s going to be a tough couple of days here” after an NBC correspondent wrapped up a report on the bitter cold snap.
Correspondent Emilie Ikeda reported from Boston on the Arctic blast that hit the northeastern part of the country.
Savannah and Hoda Kotb began the segment by covering some of the freezing temperatures across the United States.
They then leaked the segment to Emilie, who said schools were closed and the city was urging people to stay indoors.
She also said people were affected by power outages that lasted for days, as well as icy roads.
“As these frigid temperatures set in, officials are reminding people to limit their time outdoors and wear layers,” Emilie said.
“Remember, with these sub-zero wind chills, frostbite can set in within minutes.”
When the report was ready, she sent it back to Savannah, who said, “Okay. It’s going to be a tough few days here, Emilie. Thanks.”
Then they brought in Al Roker to “figure out what else they needed to know.”
‘FIRST…’
Earlier in the week, Hoda and Jenna Bush sharply corrected Hager Savannah after she mispronounced “Quebec.”
The Today stars couldn’t resist calling Savannah live on air while reporting from the Canadian city on Thursday.
Savannah chatted with Hoda and Jenna while in New York City with her other Today colleagues – Carson, Al Roker, Craig Melvin and Sheinelle Jones.
She said: “It’s colder up north and that’s where Hoda and Jenna are single-handedly bringing the sun to the nation of Canada.
“You are in Quebec City this morning. Ladies, how is it?”
The camera then caught Hoda and Jenna making disapproving faces.
Hoda said sternly, “Ok, first of all, SG, it’ll be ‘Que-known,'” where the emphasis is on the second half of the word.
Jenna nodded angrily and they both repeated the word several times with exaggerated emphasis.
The duo then began an enthusiastic re-run of their snowy activities in Quebec, which included skiing and sledding.
Savannah had an exciting week of her own when she got to interview her all-time favorite actor Harrison Ford.
She shared several photos with the legendary actor on Instagram ahead of their chat, which will air on Friday.
However, her confusing phrasing in the caption left fans wondering if Harrison stormed the interview.
The TV star wrote: “Interviews with Harrison Ford. Keep calm and professional. Until he walks out the door.”
Some viewers thought she meant the actor was no longer “calm and professional” and that he had left.
Christina Sharkey Geist, wife of Sunday Today presenter Willy Geist, said: “Omg I read that wrong and thought something went wrong and he walked out the door mid interview! Phew.”

A fan asked Savannah to clarify what she meant by “until he walks out the door.”
Another claimed: “I thought he left you too.”
