Tonight’s Hoda Kotb reveals a shocking ‘first’ experience with co-host Savannah Guthrie just before the morning show went live

TODAY star Hoda Kotb has opened up to fans behind the scenes about meeting her and co-star Savannah Guthrie.
Footage from the Today Morning show revealed something between Hoda and Savannah that normally never happens.
Hoda, 58, shared the clip on her recent Instagram Stories of her and Savannah, 51, talking about the start of their day.
“Something happened for the first time this morning,” Hoda told the correspondent, who held a microphone in her face for the comment.
“Savannah and I walked in at exactly the same time, hot.
“I go what?! And Savannah said hello.”

Hoda then asked Savannah why she “rolled in hot” and nodded to Savannah for an explanation, even though she apparently already knew.
Savannah revealed that she and Hoda came to work at the same time because she was staying at a hotel with her family as they were relocating.
The TV personality didn’t want to wake up her two children, Vale, 7, and Charles, 5, so she got up very early so she could leave without disturbing them.
Savannah admitted her early departure actually meant she arrived at Today studios “kind of on time.”

Hoda revealed she was shocked to see Savannah walking into work from across the street at the same time she did.
She also said that she “couldn’t believe” that Savannah actually got there at the same time as she did, as she usually never does.
Savannah noted that when she arrived she didn’t know what to do with all the time she had until the start of tonight’s show.
She added that she used her time to chat with Hoda.
Hoda agreed that the time she and Savannah could “hang out” before Thursday’s episode went live was the “best time.”
FRIEND OR FOE?
In the clip, the co-hosts appeared to be best friends; However, things are not always as they seem.
Earlier this year, despite their apparent closeness, the two morning TV stars reportedly got into a feud.
In the summer of 2022, rumors of a feud began to surface.
Reports surfaced that tensions had arisen between the two Today presenters.
A source told The US Sun that Hoda and Savannah “can’t stand each other.”
That report also discussed the July 2022 Today segment, in which Hoda poked fun at Savannah for allegedly enjoying sleeping naked.
Over the months, other show moments deepened theories of a breakup, including when Hoda Savannah broke up in October 2022.
And when there was an embarrassing exchange of blows between the two in December 2022 while wrapping gifts.
An insider also spoke to The US Sun about the work stress the two women were going through, explaining that they “got into a mess when Matt Lauer got fired.”
The source continued, “They had to deal with an incomprehensible situation, not only for themselves but also for the audience and especially for the Today show staff who were completely at a loss. And they had to do it on live television.”
Hoda and Savannah denied their rumors when speaking to them ETs Brice Sander on the BravoCon red carpet in October 2022.
According to ET, she said, “We don’t do that [have a feud]. It’s the stupidest thing, but what can you do?”
Hoda added, “You know, you enjoy it. I sometimes feel like some things only sell magazines, and you buy them! What do you think?!”
EVERYTHING’S OK
The duo had nothing but kind words to say about each other as they celebrated their fifth year as co-hosts on Today on January 3, 2023.
Hoda spoke about the happy times she and Guthrie had off the air.
She said, “All I can say is that the stuff we do on TV is fun, but the stuff I love the most is the stuff that’s not on TV.”
Hoda continued, “I’m just thinking about our mornings — just this morning — and there are so many (moments) just like that that happen before all the cameras come on and we can really be ourselves.”
Savannah called the pair “lucky” before referring to Kotb as her “soul sister.”

She continued, “To make this happen together — you held my hand five years ago. We said, ‘Let’s do this.’ And that was the joy of my life.
