Tonight’s Hoda Kotb is absent from the morning show, being replaced by Sheinelle Jones as she takes on a chilly new assignment

Today Show host Hoda Kotb has disappeared from the morning show as she takes on a new frigid assignment.

She was replaced by Sheinelle Jones.

Sheinelle sat at the desk with Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin.

She usually hosts the third hour of Today with Craig, Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer.

Sheinelle took on double duty on Wednesday and Thursday as she sat as the main desk clerk on both days.

As for Hoda, she and her co-host Jenna Bush Hager traveled to Quebec to spend two days filming their show.

Hoda was there on Tuesday so she must have traveled after that.

On Wednesday there was a pre-taped episode of Hoda and Jenna already enjoying the snow in Canada.

Hoda and Jenna’s Winter Wonderland will be held there on Thursday and Friday in honor of the 69th edition of the Quebec Winter Carnival.

The women are expected to return to New York on Monday.

Hoda and Jenna had some free time in Canada before filming began on their show, so they played in the snow.

Hoda also fell badly while trekking on an icy mountain in Quebec.

In a video she posted to her Instagram, the 58-year-old dragged her co-star down with her as she fell in the snow.

The clip the NBC personality shared was a short boomerang video in which 41-year-old Jenna was nearly planted face into the ground as some men tried to hold Hoda up.

Hoda captioned the hilarious video: “Things are going well @JennaBHager.”

Alongside Hoda, Jenna shared her photos and snaps from her Quebec ski trips on her Instagram Stories.

The TV personality captioned her and Hoda’s Instagram stories: “A bunch of shame.”

On the news anchor’s Instagram Stories, she shared a photo of herself and Hoda laughing as the Virginia Tech grad lay in the snow.

Jenna also included a snap and boomerang video of her helping pull Hoda out of the snow.

She also added the same Boomerang video to her stories on the New York Times bestseller’s social media profile, again captioning the video, “My turn.”

The latest snapshot of the University of Texas alum’s stories showed her face in the snow and someone helping Hoda get up.

She captioned the story, “A Friendship Story: The End.”

Many fans found the BFF’s fight in the snow funny; Some even went to Hoda’s comments section to put it out since she posted the clip on her profile.

One fan wrote the video was “hysterical,” while others just left laughing emojis.
