Tonight’s Craig Melvin missing from morning show after celebrating milestone day with family – The US Sun

HEUTE’s Craig Melvin skipped his morning show hosting duties after celebrating a milestone.
The news anchor did not appear on the air Monday, leaving his co-host Sheinelle Jones to fill in for him.
Craig’s absence comes after he announced his 44th birthday to his family over the weekend.
His wife, Lindsay Czarniak, 45, paid tribute to her husband in a loving way Instagramincluding photos from various outings of the happy couple and their children.
In one, Craig and Lindsay made goofy faces at the camera while appearing to be on a flight.
Another snap showed them posing for a snap in a hot tub with their eight-year-old son Delano and six-year-old daughter Sybil.

The last picture showed Craig and his son standing in the stands with a thumbs up in support of their team – the Kansas City Chiefs – at the last Superbowl.
Lindsay gushed about the birthday boy in her caption: “Happy birthday to my partner in crime, the love of my life and the best dad ever who embraces adventure even when exhausted. We love you so much @craigmelvinnbc and we know how lucky we are. #Happy birthday, darling.
The comments section was full of congratulations for Craig on his special day.
It appears the celebrations have continued as Craig did not take his usual seat at the news desk to kick off the workweek.
He usually accompanies Today Show hosts Savannah Guthrie, 51, and Hoda Kotb, 58, for the first hour of the show, but Sheinelle, 45, took over instead.
NOT IN OFFICE
Craig was also out of the studio on Friday, leaving his co-hosts to hold the fort.
His wife previously revealed that Instagram that the couple were at a charity event when she posted photos from the evening.
In the pictures, Craig and Lindsay posed in front of a Step and Repeat adorned with the logo of the Family and Children’s Agency – an organization dedicated to supporting families through difficult times and crises.
The couple smiled in the snaps, with the TV personality wearing a blue suit while his wife donned a patterned floor-length dress.
Lindsay wrote in her caption, “Loved spending an evening learning more about the work @familyandchildrensagency is doing to help so many people and watching @craigmelvinnbc as a presenter.”
“Also, my vintage clothing tour continues. I’ve had this one in a storage container for 20 years. It felt like the right evening had come to pull it out. My mom just told me she sewed it herself in the 60’s!”
“If anyone needs a seamstress, @tczarniak is way more than just kangaroo costumes!
She ended her post with hashtags like “#datenight” and “family.”

NEW PLATFORM
Craig hasn’t posted anything about the event or his birthday on his Instagram page, although he announced earlier this month that he’s joined another popular platform – TikTok.
In a video, the TV star said he posts about “random things” including food, cooking, music, his kids, his wife, his office and behind-the-scenes at work.
