“Tonight was one of the best 48-minute games we’ve had so far” – LeBron James claims LA Lakers have found their groove after a rough start to the season

LeBron James and LA Lakers had a revenge victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night (December 7).

After losing to the Celtics by 22 points (108-130) on November 19, LeBron’s three-star trio, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook added up for 71 points as the Lakers won 117-102. James leads with 30 points, while both Davis (17 points, 16 rebounds) and Westbrook (24 points, 11 assists) both hit doubles in a game that never really comes close.

LeBron James is delighted with the Lakers’ win. Speaking after the game, the 36-year-old said it was one of the best wins his team had all season.

“We had a lot of great moments tonight. We want to keep building on that. There are some things that we can clean up, but tonight was one of the best 48 minutes we’ve had so far. We just want to continue with that in Memphis. ”

The Lakers dominated the Celtics in the paint on Tuesday, beating their opponents 66-42 in the game. When asked about the reason for their success in that area, LeBron James attributed the Lakers’ defense. He say:

“Well, it started off on the defensive. Besides the quick start from JT [Jayson Tatum], when he got 14 straight, we did a great job keeping the boys in front of us. As the boys grew up, we did a great job of showing off our different bodies. And when we stopped, we were one of the strongest teams in the league in transition. ”

James added:

“That comes from a lot of paint spots in the transition. We defend at a high level, we know we have the same ability as we did tonight, then we’ll give ourselves a good chance to win every night. ”

LeBron James hopes Lakers can continue winning form for ‘near future’

LeBron James has missed 12 of the Lakers’ 25 contests this season. The Los Angeles team was 5-7 without their 17 All-Stars and 8-5 when James was on the team.

Injuries, a one-match suspension and a false-positive test for COVID-19 all played a role in LeBron James’s absence from games this season. But the superstar looks upbeat about the Lakers’ chances on the upcoming season schedule following their win over the Boston Celtics.

James said:

“When I’m in the ring, I just try to let things happen for my teammates. It’s a shame that I wasn’t able to get on the floor as much as I wanted at the start of the season. It feels really good tonight. My teammates picked me up. I’ve been trying to pick them up and hopefully we can continue that in the near future.”

LeBron James and the LA Lakers will face the Memphis Grizzlies in their next game on Thursday night (December 9). “Tonight was one of the best 48-minute games we’ve had so far” – LeBron James claims LA Lakers have found their groove after a rough start to the season
