“He’s such a great guy, there’s a level of comfort, he just seems like a best friend that you’ve known forever,” Tyson said.

How did the couple come to him as an officer?

“We knew he was an ordained minister, and they were filming right in the neighborhood, so I was like, ‘Hey, what does it hurt to ask?’ I wrote a letter explaining who we are and we are close and it has always been our dream to get married in our house,” Krisna said. “We asked and he said yes!”

“It just goes to show that if you write someone a letter you don’t expect them to write back, or if you’re talking to a stranger, they did it for us and they don’t know us, they’ve done us a great service and enriches our lives,” added Tyson.

It was such a big deal that her son couldn’t help but tell everyone, including at school.

“His teacher came out and said, ‘I know he’s an honest kid, but did that really happen?'” Krisna said.

Well, it wouldn’t be a Pittsburgh wedding without some Pittsburgh natives welcoming Tom Hanks into their home and showing him some sort of local fare.

The couple told Pittsburgh Today Live they took the opportunity to share Arsenal Cider with Hanks as their drink of choice for their wedding toast.

The star is in town to film his latest movie, A Man Called Otto.

Earlier in the week, Hanks posed for photos with employees at a Busy Beaver store that served as a set location.

Earlier, he photobombed a downtown wedding party. Tom Hanks Officiates Bellevue Wedding And Continues To Be Spotted Around Pittsburgh – CBS Pittsburgh
