Tom Daley tells FANS to stop gay players from playing

Champion diver Tom Daley talked about the challenges gay players face when it comes to revealing their gender.

So it’s fair to say that the Tokyo 2020 gold medalist knows the struggle that gay athletes in the UK face.

On the subject of Premier League players, he told Radio Times: “It’s a really hard thing and it takes a brave person to do it first in football.

“I think it’s the fans.

“I don’t think everyone on the team will have any particular reaction to it.

“But you have seen how England fans reacted to the Euros with racism and homophobia.

“I think it’s about being brave and being able to share your personal story.”
