TOM Cruise landed his helicopter in South Africa as he continued filming Mission Impossible 8.

The Hollywood superstar looked like a real-life Top Gun as he was photographed sitting in the driver’s seat of the plane.

Tom, 59 years old, smiled and waved to the cameras as he jumped out of the giant helicopter after landing in the town of Hoedspruit.

Wearing a blue t-shirt, jeans and safe with a black mask, the actor is jumping out of the plane.

He was accompanied by a co-pilot, whom he shook hands and embraced after successfully landing on a plain in a South African town.

After jumping out of the helicopter, Tom addressed the waiting crowd on Tuesday night, smiling and laughing in their direction.

While the seventh Mission Impossible movie has yet to be released, the actor and the rest of the cast have been busy filming for season eight.

However, the boss is said to be in crisis talks with star Tom after spent a BIG £290 million on the franchise.

Tom flew to South Africa to continue on Mission Impossible 8, flying a fleet of gear and his massive entourage from London, including his personal helicopter.

With both of their new big-budget films not hitting theaters, Paramount is feeling the pressure on their wallets though.

The planned MI:7 release date for September 2022 has been moved to July 2023, with the bill for excess costs now believed to be in the region of £50 million.

The switch has had an activation effect for MI:8, in progress.

As one source put it “People are starting to sweat the expenses now.”

One moviegoer added: “Nobody could have predicted what happened but the reality is that those delays and extra costs are piling up and it’s starting to get noticed.

“Even for an adult like Tom and these movies, it’s the kind of money that has given the studio huge leverage and the bosses are desperate to start seeing things on screen.

“Top Gun 2 is the first movie in the pipeline for release right now, two years after it was first supposed to be in cinemas, but production is continuing with the latest move to South Korea. Phi and those bills are increasing day by day . ”

No one makes action movies like Tom, who rightly said “we are the gold standard” when he clashed with the production team about complying with Covid rules on set in 2020.
