Today’s Sheinelle Jones screams “Don’t look!” as she suffers from a wardrobe malfunction and begs producers to “go into commercials”

TODAY star Sheinelle Jones found herself in an awkward position during a morning talk show segment.

Sheinelle urged producers not to focus the camera on her stained shirt after a guest shed light on Wednesday’s Today 3rd Hour episode.

Comedian Joy Koy, 52, visited Today to promote his new Broadway production Here Lies Love and his recent comedy world tour.

He sat with the show’s hosts Sheinelle, 45, Craig Melvin, 44, Dylan Dreyer, 42, and Al Roker, 68, for a time, and made a change with his amusing personality.

Towards the end of his appearance on the daily TV series, the entertainer put his off-the-cuff comedy skills to the test.

Joy teased Sheinelle as she introduced the second-hand fashion shopping section, which was to be covered when the presenting crew returned from a commercial break.

“She has kimchi on her shirt,” Joy blurted out as he pointed to Sheinelle’s shirt.

Sheinelle was already unobtrusively covering her shirt with her script before Joy had said anything.

After he did, she admitted she had leftovers of the pickled cabbage on her shirt and insisted “no one was looking.”

“You guys don’t know how to eat around here… Better get that shirt they’re giving away right now,” Joy joked.

FLECK, FLECK, GO AWAY!

The t-shirt he was referring to was one of the t-shirts set to be featured in the upcoming segment – the producers previewed muted snippets of it.

Joy repeatedly encouraged Sheinelle to flaunt her spotted shirt rather than “trying so hard to cover it up.”

At first it seemed like she was about to reveal her marked top as she had started peeling down the corner of the paper she was holding in front of her.

But Sheinelle seemed to change her mind on the spur of the moment and once again placed the sheet of paper directly in front of her shirt as a protective shield.

She was urging producers to “get into commercials” when her co-star Al started playfully tugging her arm to get her to reveal her shirt.

Oops!

For Sheinelle, spots on her outfits are not uncommon.

While speaking to Today Show Radio host Holly Palmieri on an episode that aired in April 2023, she spotted a stain on her dress.

Show Radio host Holly caught up with Sheinelle behind the scenes today as she juggled a few priorities.

The moment was immortalized in a clip posted to the Today Show Sirius XM Instagram.

The caption read: “This is multitasking mom. Kudos to working parents! Especially the ones in stained clothes. We are them. See you.”

“Multitasking mom!” Holly exclaimed as she said it to Sheinelle.

While seated, the presenter replied, “I’m emailing the principal and trying to figure out how to get this stain out of my dress, although I think it’s going to stain.”

“What is it?” asked Holly.

“I don’t know, I think it’s a wrap,” Sheinelle said, reveling in the possibility that her dress might now be permanently stained.

“Awww, Sheinelle,” Holly said jokingly, examining the stain herself.

“I just got it from the dry cleaners, I’m not exactly sure…” Sheinelle said, before greeting Holly cheerfully, “Good morning!”
