Today’s Jenna Bush Hager dribbles all over her face and exclaims her “inside is on fire” after drinking alcohol on live TV

TODAY hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb continued their Canada work trip with some alcoholic fun.

Although the duo were on the air live for the morning show, the duo put their drinking skills to the test by sipping on a strong cocktail which unfortunately ended up on Jenna’s face.

Hoda, 58, and Jenna, 41, have been hosting Today show segments from Quebec for a few days.

The couple is there to open the 69th annual edition of the Quebec Winter Carnival.

While there, the TV stars took on some winter activities, like snowshoeing, and dug into some popular local foods.

On Friday, one of the favorites they tried their hand at was not food but a drink.

They were each given a large red stick filled with a strong alcoholic drink and told to unscrew the cap and have a go.

A shocked Jenna asked the locals who gave it to her, “So, there’s alcohol on that floor?!”

Hoda jumped in: “This whole cane is filled with alcohol? And you carry this around and drink as you go? Oh.”

They were told to take a “baby sip,” but Hoda took a nice, big gulp of the concoction – which included “wine, schnapps, whiskey, and maple syrup.”

Meanwhile, Jenna was having trouble figuring out the best way to drink it from the cane.

“IT WAS STRONG!”

Eventually, she just tipped it back and took a good sip, but ended up splattering all over her face.

Hoda grabbed Jenna’s glove from the table and used it to wipe her co-host’s face.

After cleaning up a bit, Jenna admitted that she was still recovering from the sip she had taken.

“Wow someone warned me it’s strong but I feel like my insides are on fire,” she shared.

Jenna and Hoda aren’t the only ones who’ve been drinking on the show lately.

WILD MORNING

Her co-star Savannah Guthrie enjoyed a similar morning drink a few months ago, although hers was a little less strong.

Instead of drinking a wine-and-booze concoction, the host shared a beer with celebrity guest Ashton Kutcher.

Savannah had interviewed Ashton about running the New York City Marathon to raise money for his company, Thorn, which works to stop online child sex trafficking.

Towards the end the host offered him a beer and said it was for carb loading so he could finish the final mile of the race that weekend.

Ashton, 44, then challenged Savannah, 51, to also chug a beer with him on the early morning show.

“Wait, can we chug it?” the actor asked, to which the presenter replied, “Well, do you want to chug it? It is Friday!”

“I’ll chug it with you if you chug it,” Ashton admitted, leaving Savannah in shock.

She was initially reluctant, but then both stars drank their entire beers in one gulp on live television.

The pair shared a high-five and Savannah exclaimed, “I feel awful! Don’t do that at home.”

However, fans soon wondered if the whole thing was really real or if it was fake.

The topic came up after Carson Daly mentioned during a pop culture segment on an upcoming show that Ashton had successfully run the NYC marathon.

In the end, The Voice personality joked, “We think this is due in large part to the beer drinking he did with Savannah.”

After showing a clip of the duo drinking their drinks from the previous show, Savannah told everyone, “It was a real beer!”
