Today’s Hoda Kotb mocks Jenna Bush Hager and taunts “No Chance” co-host in gossip talks on live TV

TODAY’s Hoda Kotb showed her competitive side as she battled her co-host Jenna Bush Hager in a new video.

In the clip, Hoda and Jenna shared their excitement about their “friendly competition” to see who could go down the city’s famous toboggan slide faster.

However, Hoda might have taken the challenge a little more seriously when she revealed that she didn’t make it easy for her colleague.

At one point, 58-year-old owner Marc Duchesne asked, “How are you going faster than the other person?”

She then responded cheerfully when he joked that a “very heavy breakfast” would increase your speed.

“So it’s a weight thing?” she asked before screaming in excitement and punching Jenna with her gloves.

The ladies were then both surprised to hear that the ride is “about 40 miles an hour”.

However, they seemed to put that fact out of their minds as they prepared for the upcoming race.

The host’s friendly banter continued as Hoda began taunting her competitor in a solo shot.

“I feel good. I feel good about my chances. I will close my eyes and go. You have to free it and let go. Jenna doesn’t stand a chance.

“Bye Jenna. Bye. See you downstairs,” the TV star said confidently while blowing kisses and waving at the camera.

Jenna, 41, also had a few kind words for her opponent while explaining her strategy.

“I’m going to tighten my body like Marc asked me to, elbows in, knees in. It’s all about the shape. She thinks she’ll just win it? It’s the shape. And I’ve been practicing. Bye Hoda,” she boasted.

FIGHTING CO-HOSTS

Then it was time to begin as the duo dragged their sleds up the steep incline to the top of the attraction.

However, the high view and the long look down made them get cold feet as they pondered their decision.

“We went from a fierce competition to a will to survive,” Hoda said as the pair giggled.

“We just want to go down,” Jenna added.

But they didn’t let their fear stop them and sat next to each other in their sleds.

Still nervous about the fall, they jokingly said goodbye to their children, and Hoda admitted she was “scared.”

It was too late to turn back, however, and they released their sleds down the hill, screeching all the way down.

In the end, Hoda beat Jenna to the finish line and she couldn’t contain her excitement.

The TV personality threw up her arms and screamed as she realized her victory.

The video ended with the couple hugging, though Jenna couldn’t resist a final jab at her challenger.

“Congratulations. It won’t come out again, so accept it,” said the journalist before boasting about her good sportsmanship.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN

Fans of tonight’s show were already aware of Hoda’s competitive nature, which she showcased throughout her time in Canada.

On Thursday, the pair caught up with Cat & Nat, hosts of the Cat & Nat Unfiltered Podcast and best-selling authors.

The Canadians led the talk show hosts into a game where they had to use a clue to guess a famous Canadian person.

The rules were simple – once they knew the answer, they had to pick up the bell, ring it, and then answer.

The duo leaned on the table near the bell and Hoda told her colleague, “Don’t touch her or get too close,” as she pushed Jenna’s hands away.

“First question: This Canadian superstar’s rousing renditions of original songs and classic standards have sent him ‘bubbling’ to the top of the charts,” asked the podcast host.

Before she could finish the question, Jenna grabbed the bell and rang it while Hoda yelled, “That was mine! Wait, that was mine! That was mine!”

Hoda then stood in front of Jenna and blocked her while she continued to scream.

“Buble!” Hoda yelled.

“Michael Buble. I have the bell,” Jenna said as Cat & Nat touched palms.

After the women calmed down, they said the winner of the round was Joda and continued with the game.

After the segment aired on television, it was reposted on the show’s Twitter and Instagram pages.

‘TO CALM ONESELF DOWN!’

Fans couldn’t get over how loud Hoda was being and took to the comments to tell them to “calm down.”

“Hoda is so loud! Calm down…” one fan wrote.

“Loud, silly, catchy. Disappointed,” said another.

A third added: “You guys were just too much.”

“Hoda is such a camera pig,” criticized another.

“Chill out. It’s a game,” commented one Today fan.

“@hodakotb is not playing fair,” said another.

The presenters stayed in Canada for two days this week to film the fourth hour of the morning show, Today With Hoda & Jenna.

They were there in honor of the 69th annual edition of the Quebec Winter Carnival.
