In a short clip from Friday’s show, co-host Sheinelle Jones joked that Dylan was finally back.

“And look who decided to come back,” Sheinelle said. “She decided to get on a plane and come home.”

Dylan laughed and replied, “It’s Friday, I’ve decided what is a work day?”

She continued, “This is my new Italian lifestyle.”

Perhaps a little out of practice, Dylan seemed to stumble over her words before gushed about her recent Italian vacation with her family.

Dylan later shared the clip on Twitter with the caption, “I’m at a loss for words after our magical vacation!”

The Today star spent time with her family on holiday in Italy during her absence and celebrated a number of milestones.

Along with her children, husband and parents-in-law, Dylan celebrated her youngest son’s first birthday in late September.

During her Italian vacation, Dylan said the family also honored her and husband Brian Fichera’s 10th wedding anniversary.

“My in-laws’ 50th anniversary and her 70th birthday,” she said, were also celebrated with the big family outing.

“We gave our all in this big celebration.”

While reminiscing about their time abroad, Dylan praised Italian cuisine, saying, “There’s really something magical about food in Italy.”

“We took the guys to a cooking class,” Dylan added. “Every meal is what we look forward to every day.”

She boasted about being “surrounded by wine, pasta and the freshest food.”

Trying to contain her excitement about the family trip, Dylan said she wanted to “keep talking about how amazing” it was.

“The company and the food and everything.”

Sheinelle added, “Just being together as a family without having to rush,” and Dylan agreed.

“You seemed refreshed,” Craig said to the meteorologist. “You have a nice Italian sheen about you.”
