TODAY stars Al Roker and Carson Daly yelled at a guest after nearly missing their cue on a recent episode of the morning show.

Al and Carson teamed up to rouse their special interviewee, Amy Schumer, from her dormant state on Wednesday’s Today show.

Towards the end of the morning show, hosts were Al, 68, Carson, 49, Craig Melvin, 45, and Hoda Kotb, 58, from outside of Today studios in New York.

Behind the co-hosts was an energetic audience who helped keep the TV personalities happy with their constant cheering.

Before the presenters went on a commercial break, Hoda announced that when they returned, they would be chatting with 42-year-old Amy about her new Netflix comedy special.

Producers cut to live footage of Amy in the morning show studio before fading into the commercial.

Amy had her eyes closed and pretended to sleep while standing on set.

Al is heard yelling, “Wake up, Amy!” and shouting her name several times in the background to wake her up after the camera locks on her.

Carson also screamed Amy’s name in the background, trying to get her to open her eyes.

Amy woke up quickly, blinking her eyes and straightening her hair while refocusing on her.

Craig and Carson noted that Amy’s sleepiness might be because it was too early.

AL’S antics

Al definitely knows how to make people’s hearts beat faster, especially his co-host Craig.

He spooked Craig so badly that the star narrowly escaped a curse on live television in Tuesday’s episode.

Craig slammed “creepy” Al for nearly making him make a horrible mistake on the morning show.

They were just about to share some Father’s Day gift ideas when the moment came.

Craig decided to try smart goggles and placed the chunky device over his eyes.

Al used this as his chance to sneak up on Craig, who was silently standing right in front of him.

When Sheinelle Jones, 45, saw what happened, she asked Craig, “Can’t you see through this?”

Assuming she was just asking a question about the device, he replied in astonishment, “No! You can’t see through that.”

That’s when Sheinelle suggested he take off the goggles, and when he complied, he was shocked to see Al’s face waiting for him right there.

Craig screamed and stumbled backwards while everyone else around him laughed.

“That was scary,” Craig told Al, adding, “You’ve got me so close to swearing on live TV once a week!”

NEW AND IMPROVED

Al only recently returned to the morning show after taking a few weeks off to recover from knee surgery.

However, he made his return even more memorable as he made both Craig and Dylan Dreyer, 41, scream when he arrived on set.

A few days before his final return to Today, the meteorologist sneaked in to surprise his co-hosts mid-live.

Craig, Dylan and Sheinelle led a session on wine as it was National Wine Day.

Sheinelle stood to the side of the table talking while Craig and Dylan stood behind sampling the produce.

“Next is the woman who may change the way you think about work-life balance. Your strategy,” Sheinelle said before being interrupted by Craig, who threw up his hands and screamed.

Sheinelle turned her head to her co-hosts and gave an anxious look.

Dylan put down her wine glass and screamed too, while Sheinelle started to lose her balance just as Al continued walking.

The returned meteorologist broke into a mood as he walked over and hugged all of his surprised co-stars.

“What’s up brother? Nice to see you,” Craig told him.

“We’re still on the air,” Sheinelle stated. “We will be right back. A little reunion.”
