Today’s Al Roker shares his major update after major surgery in a new video, as fans share how ‘happy’ it makes them
AL Roker has given fans an update on his recovery after knee replacement in a new video.
Fans told the Today presenter how happy it makes them to see him improving so well.
On Tuesday, Al a Video of herself on Instagram.
In it he stood in his kitchen and cut cod into pieces to make a cod cake.
Al has been resting at home since he had another knee replacement last week.
The Today host said he’s making the cod cake in honor of Martha Stewart, who was on the show a few weeks ago.
But fans paid less attention to the recipe and more to the fact that Al was on his feet and dancing to the music in the background.
He jammed to the remix of Elton John and Britney Spears’ “Hold Me Closer.”
Fans were amazed at his recovery and used the comments to let him know.
“I am so happy that you are doing well!”
“I’m so glad you’re doing well! It’s a pleasure to watch you,” commented one fan.

AL IS BACK
Al updated fans on the day after the surgery with the update on his surgery.
He took a photo of the sunrise from his sickroom.
Al combined it with the song “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers.
And to let everyone know how he was doing, the presenter captioned his post: “Feeling grateful and #hopeful on this #first day with my #new knee. Who would have thought?”
Fans sent him congratulations in the comments.
It’s unclear how long Al will be out.
NOT THE FIRST TIME
On May 8th, Al revealed on the Today Show that this operation was a “replacement of a replacement.”
He previously had a knee replacement in April 2022.
While in the studio that day, Al told his co-hosts that he would be “down for a while to take care of his knee.”
Al has tried to walk every day since his first knee replacement.
