Today’s Al Roker looks unrecognizable in retro wedding photos before extreme weight loss

AL Roker is unrecognizable in old wedding photos.
The Today host has undergone extreme weight loss in recent years.
Al celebrated his wedding anniversary on Saturday with throwback pictures of the special day.
“28 years ago @debrobertsabc promised to be there for them, for better or for worse, for better or for worse. In good and in bad times. But the greatest gift is the family she gave me. Happy anniversary darling,” he wrote post.
In the first photo, the 69-year-old and his wife Deborah Roberts had big smiles on their faces as they posed in tuxedos and a wedding dress.
In the second photo, the couple is cutting the cake and feeding each other.

In the final wedding photo, Al and Deb, 62, were leaving their wedding as the photographer snapped a photo of the happy couple.
Al was noticeably heavier in the photos since it was years before his weight loss journey.

ON CLOUD SEVEN
In June 2022, Al first revealed that he had lost 45 pounds.
The weatherman seems to have lost more since then.
The morning show host, who has long struggled with his weight, shared in a June episode that he lost “About 45 pounds in the last few months” by cutting carbs and taking daily walks.
Al went on to explain that his idea of exercise wasn’t even that intense.
Another reason for the weight loss was that he had been battling an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

“Exercise, not extreme exercise, improves mental health in my opinion. Combined with a low-carb diet, I lost about 45 pounds,” he told his co-hosts.
“I eat about 100 grams of carbohydrates a day and go for walks.”
