Today’s Al Roker and Craig Melvin are tailing Sheinelle Jones as she has “trouble reading the teleprompter” during an awkward live moment

TODAY host Sheinelle Jones had some trouble with the teleprompter during Tuesday’s show, and her co-stars had a great day with it.

Al Roker and Craig Melvin taunted their co-host live on air about her difficulty reading from the device, all the while getting annoyed.

On Tuesday, Sheinelle was tasked with presenting a topic about saving money.

When opening the Today Third Hour segment, the host had some trouble reading the prompt.

Sheinelle, Al, Craig, Dylan Dreyer and business reporter Brian Cheung all stood on set, sprawled, ready to offer their respective questions and advice.

At one end, Sheinelle broke off mid-intro, admitting, “I can’t even see that prompter!”

She moved away from her seat at the end and charged closer to the camera and attached screen with her script.

Craig quickly fired, “Because you don’t get glasses!”

Sheinelle insisted it was because she was “at the bottom” but Craig and Al just kept calling her.

The latter, who wears glasses, went to where Sheinelle was originally and teased, “I can read that from here!”

However, the camera stayed on Sheinelle as she tried to continue reading the prompt, though she couldn’t stop laughing.

Craig added, interrupting his co-host: “Get some glasses! The universe begs you!”

Al, standing right next to Sheinelle, tried to hand her his glasses, but she pushed them away as she tried to finish her part of the script.

Finally she grabbed her and said, “Let me see, let me try.”

“Oh Lord,” Sheinelle said as she tried them on before quickly removing them from her face.

Al then scoffed, “You can’t even read it there,” as Sheinelle stumbled over her words, since the prompter was much closer to her now.

Today’s presenters often have fun with each other on the air, going back and forth with teasing, ridicule and shading.

On Monday, Al Craig followed suit during a discussion about the NFL games being played on Sunday.

As the duo sat at the anchor desk with Sheinelle between them, they opened up about their weekends, which were partly focused on enjoying the football games.

Sheinelle held up Nick Foles’ jersey and Craig showed Travis Kelce’s while they sat at the Today table.

Nick’s team, the Philadelphia Eagles, and Travis’ team, the Kansas City Chiefs, both won their respective games on Sunday, leading them to compete in the February 2023 Super Bowl.

As Craig explained how he and his family were enjoying Sunday’s big game, producers shared a snap of one of his children watching the competition on their living room TV.

Craig’s family photo featured a life-size cutout of pro baller Patrick Mahomes, 27, the Chiefs’ star quarterback, which piqued Sheinelle’s curiosity.

“So you guys have cutouts now so Mahomes can be with you right now?” Sheinelle asked Craig.

The NBC personality replied, “Yes,” revealing to the roundtable that there were “legitimate life-size cutouts” of the famous athlete at his home.

But before Craig could finish his thought, Al interjected and asked sincerely, “Where’s my cleavage?”

Craig took his question lightly and replied, “We have yours, [but] We only take you out when we’re celebrating.”

With a hearty laugh, Al shot back, “You want to take me out almost every day.”

Craig replied, laughing, “No, that’s Dylan [Dreyer].”
