Today, the show’s guest calls out Carson Daly for “abandoning her” and insists during the live segment that “we’re not done here yet.”
TODAY’s Carson Daly was called out by one of the show’s guests on Tuesday after going a little too far.
Chef Lidia Bastianich tried to rein in Carson after the host abandoned some of his duties during a cooking segment with her.

On Tuesday, the cookbook author joined Today to share a recipe for both eggplant rollatini.
Ever the foodie, Carson was the main host of the segment while his co-stars sat at a table near the stage, already eating the dish.
The Voice star went over the recipe with Lidia and helped her bring it to life.
He helped chop and fry vegetables, fill the rollatinis, and top the dish with additional sauce.
Halfway through, he seemed to get a little jealous of his co-stars as they were already enjoying the food.
He called out to them, “How does it taste, guys?” You eat it.”
Al Roker, Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and more praised the dish, throwing out words like “insane” and “beyond this.”
Eventually, Carson apparently couldn’t stand not being part of the taste test any longer and gave up his cooking duties to try it out.

Lidia was busy sprinkling some cheese on the new batch of rollatini when he grabbed a filled plate from the side.
Just before he could eat his first bite, the chef teased, “You left me because of the plate!”
He admitted, “Yes, I did.”
“We’re not done here yet,” she quickly shot back as she continued to top the dish with cheese.
The other Today stars could be heard rioting on the sidelines of the set, while Carson Lidia simply said, “Okay, but I can’t help it!”
After he finally got into it, he looked full of joy as he said, “Oh my God. This is something special!”
Carson often shared his love of food and cooking on the Today show, but he’s not the only one with that love in his family.
His wife Siri is a food blogger and cookbook author and also appears as a writer on the morning show.
The couple’s 14-year-old son, Jackson, has also recently discovered his love for cooking.
Last month, Siri shocked her fans with a photo of the high-end dish her son had prepared.
In the blink of an eye, Jackson was smiling as he held up a cutting board with a freshly made beef wellington.
Siri captioned the photo: “Scenes from the weekend… Starting Friday night when Jackson made us @gordongram’s Beef Wellington and made it perfect I might add.”
“I swear I’ll cook something myself soon. Perhaps.”
