TODAY show host Sarah Abo has revealed she was treated like “the guinea pig” by her parents as a child.

In an adorable throwback with her two sisters, the 35-year-old TV host gave fans a glimpse into her childhood.

The women are fairly similar in age, Sarah's sister Yara is two years younger than her, while her sister Shaz is the baby of the family

Sarah, the eldest of three girls, revealed that as a child she was “not allowed to do anything”.

“My parents were very strict, so I always had to push the boundaries when it came to liking a blue light disco night.”

Sarah’s sister Yara is quite old and two years younger than her, while her sister Shaz is the baby of the family.

The morning show host explained that she paved the way for her siblings to enjoy more freedom than her in their early teenage years.

“I was like, ‘Come on guys, all my friends are leaving and this was when I was maybe 15,” she said.

“But you know, my sisters had to leave when they were 12 or 13 – I was always the one the parents tested the rules on, and then my sisters just got through.”

“It was incredible, so lucky for her.”

But despite the different rules, Sarah and her sisters were always close.

After years of road trips along the Australian coast, the whole family seems to have a close bond.

In a sweet tribute to her family, she added: “With sisters you kind of just get along, you don’t have to explain anything and everyone just gets it.”

“You grew up together, your personalities develop around each other, so you kind of know everything there is to know about each other, which I think is really special and I’m so grateful for that.”

Although Syrian-born presenter Sarah shares her family insights with fans, she generally chooses to keep her personal life private.

She has been married to her husband Cyrus Moran, whom she met at Monash University, for eleven years.

The couple, who have no children, quietly celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary last December. MailOnline Reports.
