The Today Show meteorologist shared the video and several related footage on her Instagram account.

The collection featured son Calvin preparing his own unique lunch.

The young man was still wearing his vacation pajamas as he stood on a stool with ingredients in hand.

Very carefully he spread an avocado on his bread.

His proud mum captioned the snaps: “Cooking with Cal really pays off. He likes to make his own lunch lately!

“A bit of mayo, muenster and avocado is good for the body!”

What was a special moment, however, was interrupted by a quiet noise.

In the background, Dylan’s one-year-old son, Russell “Rusty” James, started crying and acting up.

And the fans noticed.

“Someone is crying!” a follower posted in the comments section.

That garnered a personal response from the host.

“All night and all morning!” replied Dylan. “Pretty sure all his teeth will come through at once.”

BORN TO WALK

It’s been a monumental few weeks for Baby Cal.

At the end of last year, Russell reached a special milestone with his first steps.

Dylan, 41, shared an Instagram video of the one-year-old wiggling around her living room in her pajamas with a blue pacifier.

“Come here!” she said in the clip as the little boy leaned on a couch for balance.

After Rusty took a few steps towards his mother, the little boy fell into her arms and they both laughed together.

“Well done, honey!” She said.

“Maybe that’s why you didn’t sleep at night,” Dreyer said in the video’s caption. “You’re too excited to learn to walk.”

Dylan’s adoring fans expressed their love and admiration in the comments section.

“Go Rusty, go!” said one.

“That’s the most first steps ever,” said another. “[It’s a]really blissful feeling that’s reflected in your voice.”

A third commenter pointed out that Rusty has two big brothers to keep up with.

HAPPY FAMILY

Dylan and her husband Brian Fichera, an NBC producer and cinematographer, had Rusty’s brothers Calvin (five) and Oliver (two) in 2016 and 2020, respectively. The couple married in 2012.

Dylan has shared many other photos and videos of her family on Instagram.

On Christmas Day, she posted a picture of the entire clan in their matching Christmas pajamas.

“We’ve all got a real hair thing going on today,” she said in the comments section of the family bed.
