TODAY fans have requested that guest host and comedian and former The View host Michelle Collins join as a permanent fixture on the morning show.
Michelle joined Hoda and Jenna on Friday’s episode to discuss trends in the pop culture landscape.

The presenters chatted about “Short King Spring,” which prompted a discussion about Hollywood short actors.
They also talked about how certain celebrities look when they use a certain filter.
There was also a heated conversation about voice notes and how each of the women felt about using them.
But the segment’s content was hardly what drew fans’ attention.
Viewers couldn’t get over how much they loved seeing Michelle with Hoda and Jenna.
They demanded that she take over in a more permanent capacity and express her wishes on social media.
One fan wrote: “Michelle generally needs more screen time.”

Meanwhile, Jenna shocked Today Show fans by calling the Kardashians “fake” and “fake.”
The presenter took part in a segment on live television that changed the way people looked.
On Friday’s show, Jenna and her Today co-host Hoda Kotb welcomed pop culture pundit Michelle Collins to the show.
They talked about current trends in pop culture.
After reviewing “Short Kings of Hollywood” and voice notes, they brought up the Yassification filter.
This app turns anyone into a pimped woman to make her look almost like a cartoon character.
They filtered through some celebrities to see if they could figure out who they were.
At the end, Michelle asked the Today moderators how they felt about the Yassification filter.
With her hand on her chin, Hoda just kept repeating “No, no” and shaking her head.
“So wrong and wrong. Are we all turning into a Kardashian?” Jenna asked.
“Is that the point?”
A fan commented on the video, which was posted on Twitter.
“Lmao Jenna, it looks so fake – are we all turning into a Kardashian?!” they asked with a distorted emoji.
“Why are people so hateful and jealous of other people?” asked another.
IN THE BUCKET
This isn’t the first time Jenna has slammed the Kardashians on live television.
In March, the host exploded Kourtney Kardashian for sharing controversial photos of the inside of her bathroom.
The news anchor didn’t hold back her thoughts during Hoda and Jenna’s broadcast this Wednesday.
During the show, Jenna, 41, and Hoda Kotb, 58, discussed a questionable snap Kourtney, 42, posted to Instagram earlier in the week.
The images showed what was believed to be a romantic scene that took place in the reality star’s bathroom, including bottles of champagne and various prepared meals scattered across the tiled floor.
A meal seemed half eaten while sitting on the toilet seat cover.
The others surrounded the bathtub, which was filled with pink, sudsy water, and seemed to be setting the mood for a date night.
Although it was just a photo in a slideshow of random snaps included in the post, it caught the attention of viewers the most — especially the Today hosts.
Jenna first raised the alarm about the photo, admitting she wasn’t a fan of Kourtney’s setup.
“I don’t like the idea of putting food in the bathtub or anywhere near that area,” the TV personality shared.
“Guess what’s happening in there? Same thing happening in my bathroom which is much smaller.”
Hoda laughed hysterically at her co-host’s confession while letting her continue.
“There are certain rooms called dining rooms, [and] Kitchens, and they’re called that because the bathroom, an activity or two is supposed to take place there.
“Food isn’t one of them,” Jenna scolded, wagging her finger.
“But having a nice drink in the tub is okay,” Hoda countered, but Jenna didn’t like the idea either.
“I don’t really do that either. I might have some tea. Yes. But eat? Eat a burger?” Jenna clapped back.
Hoda then admitted that while she tried to defend Kourtney’s bathroom choices, she wasn’t on board.
“Look, I’m trying to play devil’s advocate here, but I would never eat a burger in the bathroom,” she said.
“Do you ever eat anything in the bathroom?” Jenna asked her co-host, who paused to consider her answer.
“You definitely have,” Jenna guessed as the pair burst out laughing.
