Today, fans are delighted as Anker’s beloved backup host steps in after asking the network to offer him a full-time gig
TODAY fans have asked NBC to offer Jacob Soboroff a full-time job as he reappears on the breakfast show.
Viewers were thrilled to see Jacob, 39, on their screens on Tuesday morning as the usual presenters continued their celebratory break.

Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin and Carson Daly usually host the popular show along with Al Roker, who is currently on sick leave.
Father of two, Jacob co-hosted Today’s Today along with Dylan Dreyer, Peter Alexander and Kristen Welker.
He looked very elegant in a gray blue suit which he paired with a pale pink shirt and dark purple tie as he broke the latest news.
The NBC news correspondent became a fan favorite after filling in for Carson Daly on the panel for a week in late November.
After his stint on The Today Show, Jacob posted a snap of himself on set making two peace signs for the camera.

However, fans weren’t ready to see the TV personality leave and begged him to continue the performance.
“Shall we start a petition for a permanent anchor?” a person suggested in the comments.

“Safe journey. Glad to see you on the Today Show. You are always so happy. You need to be on the Today Show every day,” agreed a third.
“Love having you on the Today Show!! Should be a permanent gig,” added a fourth.
Jacob, among others, covered Carson’s daily POPStart segments while the MTV graduate went about his other job as host of The Voice.
And he did exactly the same thing on December 27th when he spoke about Kim Kardashian and the movie Love Actually during the final POPStart segment.
Viewers were thrilled to see Jacob back on their screens, with one person tweeting, “@TODAYshow loves that the weekend crew was there during this holiday season! You are all great! @kwelkernbc.”
Jacob is known as a correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC.
Prior to his debut on the network in September 2015, he was the presenter of YouTube Nation and co-host of TakePart Live on Pivot TV.
