Today Show fans have criticized Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb’s show for making a major filming change without warning.

Hoda was out all week and most of the shows were pre-taped.

Hoda hasn’t been on the show since last Friday.

Savannah Guthrie explained that she is on vacation and should be back next week.

That means Today had to find a replacement for Hoda’s position.

Willie Geist filled in for Hoda on Monday, but the show was pre-taped.

However, Hoda was on Hoda & Jenna for the rest of the week, despite not appearing for the first half of the show.

Fans noted that these episodes also said “pre-recorded”.

The women wore different outfits and said the current date, but did not film it live.

Hoda is expected to be back next week and live shows should then resume.

‘BORING!’

Hoda and Jenna posted a clip from one of their recorded shows on their Instagram page.

Although most people commented on the topic discussed between the presenters, some were upset that the show was being retaped.

“The show is getting boring! Pre-recorded AGAIN!” said a fan.

To which someone replied: “Expecting it in the summer, but also now? You could go opposite so at least one is there.”

“I wonder why many of their shows are pre-taped and yet they put the correct date. Just curious,” asked one follower.

“Hoda’s back out,” someone commented with a shocked emoji.

HE IS BACK AGAIN!

Although Monday’s show was pretaped, fans were still excited to see Willie in it.

Willie is the main anchor on Sunday Today and an occasional stand-in presenter.

In a clip from the show, posted to Twitter, fans expressed how much they want him to be the permanent presenter.

“I love when Willie is around,” said one fan.

“Bring the great Willie full time,” wrote another.

A third added: “Willie is a natural here.”

DYNAMIC DUO

This isn’t the first time fans have flattered Willie.

When Hoda was out taking care of her daughter last month, he filled in for the host again.

Sheinelle had filled in for her all week, but Willie turned up this Friday.

Fans seemed to love Willie and Jenna’s shared dynamic and begged the show to make him permanent host.

Willie and Jenna practically ended their conversations and naturally moved on to the next section.

Today, fans thought they were like brother and sister and took to the comments on an Instagram post of them together to let the show know.

“Great job Willie!! Love it when he’s around. And Sheinelle did a great job too!!” said a fan.

“I love Jenna and Willie together! They are like brother and sister and hilarious!!!” wrote another.

A third commented: “Love Willie with Jenna. She’s like a different person when Hoda isn’t around. Hmmmm, maybe Willie should replace Hoda!”

One fan simply said, “Yay Willie!”

“Give Willie Geist his own segment. Clever, fun and entertaining!” commented one follower.

“Team Willi!” said another.

“Willie was a great co-host! They were great fun together,” wrote a Today watcher.

A recent fan wrote: “I love Willie and Jenna!!!!”
